The evening was a virtual event where we built a bespoke and appropriately sparkly environment to evoke the right ambiance sponsored by HSBC.
The Challenge:
The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) is the chartered professional body for treasury. It represents the interests of the real economy, and educates and supports treasurers around the world.
The ACT Annual Dinner would normally be hosted at The Grosvenor House Hotel for c.1,500, featuring a 5 star meal with industry peers, top rate speakers and charity fundraising.
How on earth could we replicate such a glittering occasion in the virtual world?
The Solution:
The ACT secured some fantastic speakers who’d provide the content and provoke the conversations for the evening including: The Archbishop of Canterbury - Justin Welby, Cultural Anthropologist – Dr Jitske Kramer and Journalist – Louis Theroux. Compère, David Meade delivered up-beat and entertaining segues including live mentalist tricks.
The evening was hosted online where we built a bespoke and appropriately sparkly environment to evoke the right ambiance sponsored by HSBC. By integrating Zoom calls we were also able to replicate the more intimate “Dinner Table” environment through some well-choreographed break-out sessions that ensured everyone mingled.
It didn’t stop there as hampers (sponsored by Slaughter and May) were delivered to guests including a bespoke cocktail, wine and treats. The charity Hand-in-Hand benefited from an online auction and everyone got home safely!
The Result:
Over 300 invited guests attended and enjoyed the evening in full.
This event won the award for 'best virtual event engagement and networking experience' at this year's Digital Event Awards.
Feedback from those guests was generous:
