Virtual event awards for ACT

The Challenge:
The Deals of the Year Awards champion the outstanding work of treasurers from around the world and their contribution to their organisations’ success. Awards are based on work and transactions undertaken during 2020. The winners were chosen by an esteemed panel of judges, experienced practitioners from across the treasury, corporate finance, banking and advisory worlds.
The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) has been successfully running virtual events with us (such as their recent 4-day annual conference) and attracting their own digital event award recognition last year. This year the ACT wanted to create the same excitement and ambience as in previous in-person award evenings – but this time it was virtual.
The Solution:
Drawing upon our experience of Gala virtual events we created an engaging and immersive experience.
Using a blend of a suitably “summer party” designed virtual event platform and Zoom Meeting Points we enabled an engaging evening of content and networking.
Film and live content was simultaneously streamed into five Zoom meetings and the event platform for backup. Naturally all guests received a hamper of goodies and some fizz to celebrate.
The Result:
The evening was a tremendous success – with guests staying on the platform until the early hours to network and mingle.
The sponsors (Lloyds Bank & SMBC) enjoyed great coverage and were able to have 1:1 chats with guests on the platform and discussions in groups of 5, 10 and 30 guests.
The ACT enhanced its reputation as the Chartered professional body for treasury.
