2013 Kaiser Challenge
We are delighted to support Sarah Hoare (one of our clients at Airbus) with her fundraising initiative.
Sarah established The Kaiser Challenge in memory of her fiancé Alex, who passed away suddenly at the age of 28, to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in 2012.
After a day of downhill mountain biking in South Wales, my beautiful man fell asleep and didn’t wake up. His death was a shock and terrible loss, but out of the negative they were able to build a positive to focus upon. Thus, The Kaiser Challenge was born.
United as a motley crew of people who loved him, knew him or simply wanted to support, they created the challenge in order to help raise funds and awareness of Cardiomyopathy whilst remembering a man who lived life to the fullest. Just two months after Alex Kaiser's funeral, 70 cyclists rolled over the finish line after riding 215 miles over three days and raising in excess of £55,000 for charity.
An amazing achievement not only physically, but also for building something so positive in a time of devastation.
