Inclusion Week at L&Q

The Challenge:
L&Q is a regulated charitable housing association and one of the UK’s leading independent social businesses.
As an organisation that celebrates difference and draws strength from the rich diversity of its people and communities. National Inclusion Week plays a key role in L&Q’s calendar every year.
Yet with the restrictions and challenges of COVID-19, it was more important than ever to find an alternative way of bringing people together and raising awareness of inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
The Solution:
Alongside the L&Q team we devised a detailed programme of online activities, virtual sessions and educational resources leading to and including Inclusion Week.
These initiatives were built upon L&Q’s core values and spanned across their gender equality, cultural diversity and LGBTQ+ and wellbeing networks.
We developed a multi-channelled communications and editorial plan. This focused on engaging L&Q employees in all areas of the business with interactive social polls and D&I focused videos and graphic images.
With the help of our design team, we also created a new internal focused brand ‘We’re all L&Q’. Amplifing the overall theme of inclusivity and formed the design basis for L&Q’s internal intranet.
The Result:
With over 15 different online events and activities, L&Q’s Inclusion Week was highly received by staff across the organisation.
From virtual sessions with L&Q network chairs to D&I focused discussions and interactive resources. The programme delivered in its aim of providing an accessible and inclusive opportunity for L&Q employees to open conversation, learn and drive positive action.
