The Challenge:

The Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) is the chartered professional body for treasury. It represents the interests of the real economy, and educates and supports treasurers around the world.

The Annual Conference (normally hosted in May each year) is the highpoint of the association’s busy event calendar. But this year, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the normal format would need to change.

Take the conference online and create it in a virtual environment. Make it appealing and engaging to delegates, speakers and sponsors and ensure there are plenty of opportunities to network as well as visit exhibitor stands.We identified the best platform – it needed to be highly configurable, stable and secure.

We also wanted to be able to design our own 2.5D attractive environments. We worked with specialist AV partners supporting with pre-records, editing and playback/live streaming. Our flexibility and close team work with ACT and our brilliant partners enabled us to adapt to the many variables of a live event.

The Result:

A four day conference jam-packed with topical content. There were over 60 sessions, many of which were streamed live with Q&As, polls, surveys, supporting films and slide shows. Sponsors and supporters connected with delegates from a range of attractive, tailor-made and engaging stand options.

We included an award ceremony on Day 1 and US colleagues enjoyed a ring-fenced conference within the conference.

With over 1700 registrants the conference remained available “On Demand” for 30 days – allowing attendees to go back and watch any of the sessions and download resources that they missed and continue networking.

Finally the data and analytics available during and after this event have helped to confirm its success and also have provided a greater insight than ever before – helping to shape the next event.
